Foundational Level General Science Courses for Pre-Service K-8 Teachers

The foundational science (FS) collaboration is an initiative to develop a sequence of undergraduate science classes in physics, chemistry, geosciences and biology for future K-8 teachers aligned with the new Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). These courses focus on teaching NGSS K-8 science content, while emphasizing the new Scientific Practices, which include active questioning, modeling and exploration.
