Summer Institute for Teachers at Exploratorium
The Exploratorium Teacher Institute offers a summer professional development program for middle school and high school science and mathematics teachers. Since 1984, we’ve provided summer institutes on a variety of secondary science and mathematics topics for teachers new to the Exploratorium. Our institutes support the content and pedagogy described in the National Science Education Standards and the Science Content Standards for California Public Schools. After completing one of these professional development institutes, you become an alumnus of the Teacher Institute and are eligible to attend alumni institutes and workshops. The Learning Commons (our library and information hub) also becomes available for project research.
Applications for the 2013 Summer Institute are now available. The dates for the Summer Institute are Monday, June 24, to Friday, July 12 (9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.). There will be NO CLASS on July 4.
