PRIME: CALIFORNIA MSP (IN-SERVICE)

CSME just completed two CA Math Science Partnerships ($2.55 million from 2008-2014 for CSME, SF Unified and Lawrence Hall of Science) to deepen math content knowledge of two 3-year cohorts of in-service 4^th and 5^th grade teachers in SFUSD through a three-year sequence of 5-day summer workshops, school year meetings and special coaching.  About 100 teachers have participated, recruited from the lowest socioeconomic status schools.  An outside evaluator found increases in teacher math knowledge; more reported confidence in using effective instructional strategies; very high satisfaction rates and self-reported changed; increases in student test performance.
