DESCRIPTION:
Teacher is appointed to a special assignment and serves to support and assist Principal in implementation of various programs, testing, assessment and projects.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Monitor state and federal funded programs and activities, including SSC and ELAC.
•Coordinate logistic related to administration and reporting of testing, including STAR, SABE and CELDT.
•Plan, implement, and monitor after-school program, including identifying students performing below grade-level and providing appropriate intervention.
•Assist with SART and SARB.
•Assist with creation and implementation of school site plan.
•Attend appropriate in-service and workshops to improve student achievement.
•Perform other related duties as assigned by site administrator.

Come in costume and catch a drag show and costume contest hosted by hostess of horror and local drag queen legend Peaches Christ. Face off with your inner monster with the help of manic makeup artists, and touch slimy specimens (including human brains!) in an Organ Lab. Learn about electrifying advances in bioengineering (what brought Frankenstein to life) from Daniel Cohen (UC Berkeley), get tips on how to survive a zombie attack from Joseph Chen (UCSF), hear from Kyle Kurpinski and Terry D. Johnson, authors of How to Defeat Your Own Clone: And Other Tips for Surviving the Biotech Revolution, and more with lightning talks. And heckle the bad science of Sharknado with acclaimed shark scientist David McGuire and comedians from the Dark Room.

Oakland School for the Arts (OSA) is a dynamic, thriving, diverse charter school in an urban environment that serves approximately 600 students in grades 6-12. Students enroll in OSA by audition and each student majors in one of ten arts disciplines. We are seeking an energetic, motivated and organized Math Specialist to join our outstanding staff. This position will primarily be responsible for implementation of an alternatively paced online math program to a student in a 1:1 tutoring capacity, however small-group math support may also be an assigned duty throughout the week.

KIPP San Francisco College Preparatory will open in August 2013 and will serve the students of KIPP Bayview Academy, KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy, and other San Francisco students who are committed to doing whatever it takes to get to college. In its first year, KIPP San Francisco College Preparatory will offer ninth grade, and each year it will add a grade until 2017 when it will serve grades 9-12.

AT&T Park will become a science wonderland when the Bay Area Science Festival concludes again with this FREE science extravaganza on Saturday November 2nd 11AM-4PM. Last year, more than 30,000 people enjoyed a non-stop program chock-full of interactive exhibits, experiments, games, and shows, all meant to entertain and inspire. With more than 150 exhibits, there is something for everyone to unleash their inner scientist.
